I need less drama in my life

It's been an extremely long haitus, but thank god, im still alive and kicking :) After yesterday's incident, that is.

Something must be wrong with the public transport system yesterday.

We were on our way to pick up mummy from the airport when the MRT broke down. One moment we were being chased out of the train, and then they allowed us back into the next train. Then when we finally arrived at the next stop, we were being chased out again! Fine.

We didnt want to squeeze with the huge crowd, so we took a cab to T3. Then we found out that there was a flight delay! So it was a long long wait at the airport. Fine.

The ultimate incident came when we were on our way home. The cab we were in bumped into another fellow cab on the expressway and we got stuck on the expressway! Faints.

The cab driver was weaving in and out of 2 lanes at super fast speed and hit another cab when it tried to filter into the left lane (Too late, obviously). The result was the whole whatever-you-call-that-thing in front fell off!

Just when i thought the driver had learnt his lesson, he forgot to pull the handbrake when we requested to alight at the slope outside my house. (!!!!!!!)

I would definitely have complained to comfort if not for the fact that he is an old driver, and yes, my heart do goes out to him for having to drive at such an old age. But uncle, please, no next time.

抓 komodo dragon 历险记

In my 24 years of life, today was the day where I got up so close to a komodo dragon. When i mean close, i really mean very close. It was just less than 10 cm away from me!

It's been a long time since there was any melodrama in my family. To simplify things, this was exactly what happened this afternoon:

*KD = komodo dragon

Yes, it was this dramatic. And while all these happened, a cab driver who was waiting to pick his passenger up saw us and kept glancing towards our direction. He must be wondering what 3 siao people are doing with a tek goh and a camera. And add some hysterical screaming to that.

The garderner told us that once komodo dragon grabs hold of a person, it won't let go. So we were practically busy running around trying to avoid it whenever it moved. And when it glided towards us, me and neighbour REALLY ran for our lives. I ran bare-footed somemore. 

Admist all the drama, i still managed to take a few pictures of that huge lizard. So for those who are ready, here's somemore:

Additional comments:

- If not for this incident, i wouldnt have known who my condo manager was. (FYI i've been living here for 10 years)

- First it was stray cats, then last year it was squirrels. Now, it's the komodo dragon. Can anyone tell me what's next? (Daddy said it could be monkeys. faints.)

- Didn't know komodo dragons can bite people to death!   

- Maybe i should buy 4D!!! My unit number! haha

What more can i say?

Shall blog about the dinner since im not gonna post these pictures on facebook. (and as for the reason for not posting on fb, you will know it later)

So we met up for dinner at a place near my place. It's like just a 5 mins walk away from my house, BUT i have totally no idea that this restaurant existed. haha.

We went to this restaurant that sells western food. Someone recommended it, but the food turned out to be a tad too salty for our liking.

Poached oyster & pork ribs

Now i know why i have never heard of its existence. LOL. To stay in a place for 10 years and not heard about the restaurant, it goes to show something about the food, doesn't it?

Decided to had dessert elsewhere, so off we went to Haato (My favourite ice cream place!!), where i had my 2nd ice cream of the day

and where we played this board game that wp brought along.

We had to make funny / weird faces to decide who starts first (DUH!!!)

Now you know why these pictures are not up on fb. 

There is a stewardess among us, so the least i could do is to not let the whole world change their impression of SQ girls. haha!

The game's called "express it, guess it", so we have to either draw/act/speak out a particular emotion from a list, and then for one of the rounds, i drew this

Guess what is it? (hint: choose between bored, determined, amazed).

Before you start critizing my drawing, let me remind you that someone actually guessed it correctly. haha.

Am currently feeling very happy and pleased with myself now, because today

1) I passed the school's evaluation test

Actually i was surprised that i passed at the 1st attempt, cos as you know, you have to get at least 63 qns out of 70 correct, and the 1st 10 questions were on traffic signs (which i didnt really see in my practice session!!)

I think i must have spent at least 30 mins attempting the 1st 10 qns, and randomly choosing between choices A,B and C.

Haha.

2) I bought ice cream, and

most importantly,

3) I received an email that was enough to made me shout "WOOHOO!!!" 1 step closer to plan A (:
